μακριά =far   /  μακριά από=far from

Remember after prepositions like: από(from), με(with),σε (in, at, on), για (for) we use the accusative case (τον, την, το)

Examples a.To σπίτι μου είναι μακριά από την εκκλησία. My house is far away from the church.

To σπίτι μου είναι  μακριά από το σούπερ μάρκετ.My house is next to the school Chorlton

απέναντι = opposite    απέναντι από=opposite from

Examples a.To σπίτι μου είναι απέναντι  από την εκκλησία My house is opposite to/  from the church.

b. To σπίτι μου είναι απέναντι από το σούπερ μάρκετ.My house is opposite the supermarket.
