Complement clauses

Complement clauses are introduced by:

(a) the complementizers

ότι / πως + indicative after verbs of saying, thinking, believing

Λέει [ότι / πως την αγαπάει]

Είναι σίγουρο [ότι / πως τον αγαπάει]

που + indicative after verbs expressing emotional state

Χαίρομαι [που σε γνωρίζω επιτέλους]

μήπως / μη(ν) + indicative after verbs expressing fear.

Φοβάμαι [μήπως / μην έφυγε χωρίς να μου το πει] Φοβάμαι [μήπως / μη φύγεις χωρίς να μου το πει]
