Είναι αλήθεια πως πάμε καλύτερα στον τομέα της παιδείας. Έχουμε αίθουσες τελευταίας τεχνολογίας, περισσότερες ώρες κάνοντας μάθημα και λιγότερες γράφοντας διαγωνίσματα. Όμως αυτές οι αλλαγές δεν φτάνουν. Λείπουν από τα σχολεία μας χώροι για να ξεκουραζόμαστε, να κουβεντιάζουμε ή και
για να διαβάζουμε με την ησυχία μας στον καθαρό αέρα. Έχουμε τόσα διαλείμματα! Γιατί να μην έχουμε έναν κήπο με λουλούδια; Ξέρω πως κάτι τέτοιο κοστίζει, αλλά
μπορούμε εμείς οι ίδιοι να τον φροντίζουμε.
Η πιο σημαντική αλλαγή, βέβαια, πρέπει να γίνει στον τρόπο που γίνεται το μάθημα. Φοβάμαι λίγο που το λέω αυτό, γιατί ξέρω πως πολλοί καθηγητές μας διαβάζουν το
μπλογκ μου. Αγαπητοί καθηγητές, όλοι πιστεύουμε πως μαθαίνουμε καλύτερα όταν υπάρχει
περισσότερος διάλογος στην τάξη. ‘Hδη έχει υπάρξει βελτίωση, αλλά χρειάζεται μεγαλύτερη προσπάθεια απ΄όλους μας.
Και κάτι ακόμα: μας ενδιαφέρει να γνωρίζουμε τι συμβαίνει στον κόσμο τώρα! Ποια είναι τα σύγχρονα προβλήματα; Δεν αρκεί να διαβάζουμε μόνο γι’ αυτά που έγιναν
στο παρελθόν.
