1. The topic sentence states the main idea of the paragraph. It names and limits the topic

The specific area delimited is called the controlling idea

2. Supporting sentences develop the topic sentence

Τhey do this by giving:

–reasons

–examples

–facts

–statistics

–quotations

Μπορούμε να δούμε εθελοντικές δράσεις στην εκπαίδευση. Λόγου χάρη πολλοί διδάσκοντες προσφέρουν μαθήματα αφιλοκερδώς.

The concluding sentence marks the end of the paragraph and often summarises or raises the key point of the paragraph.

Συμπεραίνοντας, ο εθελοντισμός δεν αφορά μόνο την κοινωνική μέριμνα αλλά εκτείνεται σε σχεδόν όλους τους τομείς της ανθρώπινης δραστηριότητας.
