About Dimitra

Welcome to my world of diverse qualifications and expertise! I’m excited to share my journey and the skills I’ve gained along the way. With a passion for teaching and a solid academic background, I’m here to create an engaging and nurturing learning experience.

I’ve delved into the world of academia, earning an M.Sc. in Modern & Contemporary History and a Bachelor of Arts in Classics with a focus on Medieval & Modern Greek Studies (QTS/UK).These studies have given me a strong foundation to support my students effectively.

One of my personal accomplishments is my thesis titled “From the “Triumph” to the “Conviction”: Analysing the United Opposition in Government (1920-1922)”, which received a high grade. This experience taught me the value of dedication and hard work.

My commitment to learning continued with a Diploma in English History and Freelance & Feature Writing from the reputable London School of Journalism, UK. These experiences have honed my writing skills, which I love to share with my students.

Anna

Γεια σας! My name is Anna Mari, and I’m a Global Seal of Biliteracy certified educator in Greek and English with 8+ years of experience teaching in the USA and Greece. I have completed my Undergraduate Degree at the University of Patras, majoring in Primary Education in the Greek language. Also, I have furthered my studies by obtaining certification for English as a Second Language (TESOL/TEFL). Currently, I am enrolled in a Master’s degree program studying Educational Administration and Leadership.
I have worked as a Greek as a Second Language instructor for young and adult students in Chicago, Illinois, both in the private and public sectors. In Greece, I have taught English as a Second Language to native Greek speakers of all ages. My latest accomplishment is writing the series of e-books “Greek State of Mind”, which consists of a reading and grammar book based on real-life facts from the life of a Greek American persona. This series was created to assist learners in improving their reading, comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar skills in the Greek language.
Teaching and writing have always been my passions, and it is with great joy that I have the opportunity to offer my expertise through MyGreekTutor to students of all ages!

Ero

Hello! I’m Ero, and I was born and raised in northern Greece. I graduated from the University of Thrace with a degree in Greek Philology, specialising in Ancient Greek and Latin, before completing a Master’s degree in Modern Greek Literature. This academic background allows me to teach Greek with both classical depth and modern relevance.

My teaching journey began in Barcelona, where I worked in a vibrant multicultural school through the Erasmus programme. I later spent a year in France, experiences that shaped my ability to adapt lessons for learners of all ages and backgrounds.

At My Greek Tutor, I combine this international perspective with our team’s insider expertise as GCSE and A-Level examiners and markers. This means my students gain:

  • Exclusive exam resources – model answers, vocabulary packs, and examiner-style practice papers.

  • Step-by-step strategies – clear guidance on how to secure maximum marks in writing, speaking, listening, and reading.

  • Personalised feedback – corrections and tips based on what examiners truly reward.

Fluent in English and French, I can easily support bilingual or international learners, bridging cultural and linguistic gaps to make Greek more accessible and enjoyable.

My students don’t just prepare for exams—they achieve success with confidence while also discovering the richness of Greek culture, literature, and everyday life.

Outside the classroom, I love dancing, painting, and exploring different cultures through art and travel, passions that often find their way into my lessons to keep them engaging and inspiring.

With the right support and examiner insight, every student can aim high, excel in their GCSEs or A-Levels, and gain a lifelong connection to the Greek language.

Niki

My name is Niki Zavra, and I was born in Sparta, Greece. My undergraduate studies were undertaken at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, in the Philology Department at the University of Patras. During my studies, I attended many seminars related to education. Concurrently, I volunteered at the Social Center of Patras, teaching philology courses to underprivileged children. I also pursued and obtained a certification in the Braille writing and reading system for the blind. My postgraduate studies were more focused on Adult Education. My experience in devising and creating educational programs that incorporate novel teaching methods in both special and general education enables me to devise creative solutions in critical situations. Being a member of a digital book team has allowed me to participate not only in planning seminars related to special education but also in writing books designed to meet the needs of each child and adult.
