- Ασφαλώς= certainly
Ασφαλώς is a great alternative to ναι or εντάξει, which are used way too much in Greek.
So the next time your boss asks, “Μπορείς να μου δώσεις αυτό το έγγραφο μέχρι το απόγευμα;’’ ”Can you get that document to me by the end of the afternoon?”
You should respond, “Ασφαλώς!”
- Τροποποιώ= to modify
Many people don’t like change, so the word ‘αλλάζω’ (change) doesn’t help them feel good or make you look good. An easy upgrade here, that can make you sound smart is the word ‘τροποποιώ’.
Πρέπει να τροποποιήσουμε τον τρόπο που αντιμετωπίζουμε τους πελάτες μας.
We need to modify the way we deal with our customers.
- Βρίσκομαι σε πλεονεκτική θέση= to gain leverage
Companies love the phrase ”πλεονεκτική θέση”
Αν τροποποιήσουμε τoν σχεδιασμό εμπορίας, μπορούμε να βρεθούμε σε πλεονεκτική θέση έναντι των ανταγωνιστών μας.
If we modify our marketing plan, we can gain leverage over our competitors.
- Αντίκτυπος= ramification
The fact is, at work, we sometimes have to talk about bad things that have happened or might happen.
Ο νέος φορολογικός νόμος έχει δυσμενή αντίκτυπο για τον καθένα που προσπαθεί να κάνει οικονομία.
The new tax law has many adverse ramifications for anyone trying to save money.
- Περίπλοκος=perplexing
Sometimes things are definitely confusing at work.
Αυτή η κατάσταση είναι περίπλοκη.
That’s a perplexing situation.
- Ενδεικτικός= indicative, suggesting
Τα αποτελέσματα είναι ενδεικτικά της ανάγκης για περισσότερη έρευνα.
These results are indicative of the need for more investigation.
- Επιχειρηματική άνθηση= business boom

- Προνοητικότητα=foresight
Υπάρχουν πολλοί τρόποι για τις επιχειρήσεις να βελτιώσουν τα έσοδα τους αν πράγματι το θέλουν και έχουν την προνοητικότητα να οργανωθούν από πριν.
